BOOK REVIEW: Parmesan, the Reluctant Racehorse
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals, particularly dogs (I have two) and horses (I grew up with them around). As a result, the new picture book, Parmesan, the Reluctant Racehorse by Jacqui Halpin & John Phillips was right up my alley!
Published by Little Pink Dog Books, the story is funny and sweet and memorable, and deals with themes of friendship and running your own race in life. Plus, with a percentage of income from the sale of each book being donated to support the retraining and rehoming of retired racehorses, you can feel even better about purchasing the book for your children, grandchildren or as a Christmas gift or birthday present.
