I’m looking forward to presenting at Warrigal Road State School in Brisbane in early August as part of the school’s Book Week celebrations that month. Being an Australian children’s author based in Queensland, I love having the chance to visit schools in my state (and beyond) to chat all things children’s literature, books, stories, writing, being a freelance ghostwriter, and the like.

I’m heading down to Brisbane in December to conduct an author’s writing workshop for children on idea generation and development at West End Library. This event is part of the Brisbane City Libraries’ school holiday program for kids.

In November, I’ll be heading to Sunshine Beach State School on the Sunshine Coast for 2 x 1-hour author talks to junior classes at the primary school.

I’m looking forward to presenting again at Romancing the Stars on the Sunshine Coast, at Immanuel Lutheran School in Buderim. Always such a great event, with multiple short, sharp 3-minute talks to mostly teachers and librarians from around the region.

I’m looking forward to presenting at Gympie Library again. I’ll be reading some of my latest picture books to pre and primary school aged children with a storytime and art session.

I’ll be rounding out my August presentations with 3 x 1-hour sessions for students in Prep through to Year 2 at Pacific Lutheran College at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast.

For more Book Week school presentations, I’ll be at Eagle Junction State School in Clayfield for storytime sessions and author talks for Prep through to Year 2 students. I’ll be presenting 4 sessions on the day at this Brisbane school.

I’m looking forward to presenting 3 x 30-minute storytime sessions to young children at Bracken Ridge Childcare Centre in Brisbane.

On the first day of Australia’s 2021 Book Week celebrations I’ll be presenting at Siena Catholic Primary School on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. I’ll be presenting a writing workshop for budding writers in years 4 to 6 plus three author talks for students across these years.

I’m delighted to be presenting a workshop on “Fun with the Five Senses” at Caboolture Library as part of the Fellowship of Australian Writers Queensland (FAWQ) inaugural Moreton Bay Readers and Writers Festival. It’s exciting to be part of such a wonderful new event and always great to do an author visit in Brisbane!

I’m looking forward to presenting a workshop to students from years 7 to 11 at Kawana Waters State College about story idea generation and development. The workshop will help inspire students for their upcoming “Write a Book in a Day” project next term.

I’m heading off to Petit Early Learning Journey, an early learning centre in Caloundra, for a fun storytime and craft session on Thursday 5 March. I’m a Sunshine Coast children’s author, so it’s always nice to visit kids in the local region!

The Book Week celebrations continue! I’m heading down to Ipswich for a day of author school visit presentations to students at St Mary’s Primary School in Ipswich. I always enjoy doing author visits in Brisbane!

As part of this year’s Book Week, I’m heading up to Gympie Library for the day, for multiple author talks to children. As an author, I love being an author presenter at libraries and other events!

I’m off to Bella Grace Early Learning Centre on the Sunshine Coast for a storytime and craft activity session, as part of Book Week. I find author visits to early learning centres great fun - you never know what the little ones will say or do! :)

I’m looking forward to presenting an approximately 90-minute talk/workshop to high school students at St John’s College, Nambour, as part of their Year 7 Book Day festivities. I enjoy being a children’s author on the Sunshine Coast who can present to kids aged from toddlers up to high school kids. Anything that encourages reading and creativity is a plus, in my books!

After attending the Sunshine Coast literary event Romancing the Stars for the past three years as a guest, I’m excited to have been invited to be a Sunshine Coast author and presenter this year! I’ll be attending the event to chat about my picture book Cloud Conductor to a raft of teachers, librarians, and book-loving people from South East Queensland.

I’m thrilled to be heading down to Brisbane for a Cloud Conductory storytime and craft activity at the wonderful specialist children’s bookshop, Where the Wild Things Are.

I’m off to Caloundra to do a storytime event this Christmas, to celebrate the re-opening of the main street. With thanks to the wonderful Book Shop at Caloundra, who is putting on a raft of book-related events for kids this week!

I'm looking forward to taking part in a Kinderfest at Brighton State School in Brisbane in Book Week this August, alongside two other kidlit creatives. 

I'm looking forward to visiting Bracken Ridge Child Care Centre during Book Week, for a storytime and craft session for 3-5 year olds. 

I visited one of Big Day Out's centres in June, and now I'm looking forward to heading to the Peregian Springs facility this August. I'll present my book Cloud Conductor during two storytime sessions, as well as engage the children in a craft activity.

I will be taking part in a Storytime session at the Maleny Library as part of the Maleny Celebration of Books, held on the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
This is a free event - bring your children along to hear myself and a variety of other authors read our picture books and more. 

I will be presenting on the Success Panel at the 2018 CYA (Children's and Young Adult) Conference in Brisbane, on Saturday 7 July.
The event is the premier #kidlit event in Brisbane for the year, and is the place where authors, illustrators, editors, agents and other creatives come together to learn about and discuss children's literature.
CYA is being held at TAFE Brisbane, South Bank campus. 

During the upcoming school holidays, I'll be at Sandy Pages Noosa for a storytime and craft session to present my first picture book, Cloud Conductor, which is about the power of the imagination. I'll also be available for book signings on the day. The event is on Tuesday July 3rd, at 10am, at the Noosa store. 
With so many wonderful Queensland children’s authors always clamouring to be able to hold events at bookshops, I’m very happy to be able to hold one at this fantastic Sunshine Coast bookshop.

On Saturday 30 June, during the school holidays, I'll be at one of the best bookshops in Brisbane, Riverbend Books in Bulimba, for a Storytime and Craft session with young children. I'll be available for signings, too, which is always fun for a children’s author in Queensland, Australia, and beyond! We love to encourage a love of reading and stories in little ones, after all. I love being a freelance children’s author for hire who also gets to create my own books and then share them with the world, so having the chance to present at Riverbend is very exciting. There’s nothing quite like developing a children’s book idea, writing it, submitting it to publishers, editing it, and then finally having it out in the world to read to children.
