If you love animals and enjoy checking out some of the funny antics they get up to, as well as seeing just how they can make a home even more full of love and joy, you should take a look at Pumpkin: The Raccoon Who Thought She Was a Dog.

Written by Laura Young, the lady who took Pumpkin in as a baby when she was injured and abandoned by her raccoon parents, this is a heart-warming story. Mostly made up of adorable photographs of Pumpkin in the Young's home and hanging out with the family's two dogs, the book is suitable for kids of many ages. The text is limited, so if you have a child who doesn't like to have a lot of words to get through, this is perfect.

You can read my complete review of the Pan Macmillan book on the Just Write for Kids website here.

Here's a link to a video for a quick look at this adorable animal too.
