A traditionally and internationally-published children's author, Kellie has more than 6 books for children out now and more on the way. She writes both fiction and non-fiction in varying styles and is represented by Lary Rosenblatt at 22MediaWorks in the United States.

The first children’s picture book Kellie authored, Cloud Conductor, published in May 2018, while her second and third books, Evie is all Ears and One Remarkable Reef, published in 2020. One Remarkable Reef, a rhyming, counting, bedtime book for toddlers and young children was published by the State Library of Queensland as part of their first-ever publishing programme. The book was shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards in 2021.

In 2021, two new picture books came out, Yes! No. and then This is NOT a Book! Kellie’s sixth picture book, How Do You Love?: The Five Ways We Show We Care was published by Macmillan USA in Jan 2022. Kellie has written a picture book for a large public library kids’ book club program in Florida, USA, and a picture book for a Muslim school in Australia.
